Link to report on growing concerns regarding 'Body Image', including children as young as 5 being pressured to look a certain way.
Very useful when considering the Dove 'Campaign for Real Beauty' issues.

A2 Media: Eden Lake - further reading
Click on the links below for a collection of articles on the impact of Eden Lake, the 'demonisation' of youth and the society which is represented - all taken from the excellent 'Collective Identity' blog.

One quote, in particular, is worth highlighting here from the second link:
“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”
Recent? No - this was written in approximately 345 B.C (that's nearly 2500 years ago), by the Greek philosopher, Plato. So perhaps the actions of the youths in Eden Lake are not so shocking, after all?

A2 Media - 'Eden Lake' articles - useful background information
Taken from The Guardian's film blog - some useful background information on the film - does not contain any 'spoilers' regarding the plot, but plenty of contextual issues which the film is based on.

This review from the site, Filmstubs, also takes a similar approach, focusing on the apparent 'demonisation' of 'chavs' in the media and horror films, specifically.
